Socal - San Bernardino County - Loma Linda/ Redlands NickNames: #LomaLinda/HildaCrookPark
To get to loma linda, take the I-10fwy. towards SanBernardino, exit Mt. View Ave., head South. Mt. View will go straight for approx. 3 miles, then it will end at the enterance to Hilda Crook Park, enter the park and park in the first parking lot to your left, (there are only 2 parking lots, one to the left and one straight ahead up a hill, you can park in either but the lower lot to the left it the easiest and closest to the trail head) after parking you will be able to see the trail at the south end of the parking lot, there is a dirt trail and a cement trail, take either one, they meet up just around the corner. at the top i took what i think is the SNAIL TRAIL back... starts out with a ladder drop into the trail.. nice switch backs.. a few very nice jumps.. not to rutted.. almost killed a jogger though.. so watch out for them.
over all was a very nice ride... not to fast coming back. but was fun. not to much DH but was an excelent freeride.

You can complete the whole ride in 1.5 hours at least in this sequence:
Go halfway up to Jedi and look for a small trail that disappears into some trees. This will lead into a climb to a trail that goes through the side of a cliff and then to two hilltops, the second of which is the highest around.
At the top of the highest hill, you will find a smaller trail (towards west) that will allow you to take some berms after a good 20ish ft steep drop.
You exit on the smaller Jedi trail which you will take until you get to Four Corners (more of like 5).
Turn a right (towards Razorback) and take a left before that one steep but little hill. That's Jackrabbit (take the trail that drops). Complete the Jackrabbit loop and pedal back up to Four Corners but keep on going until you reach the top of the hill that gives you a view of the mine.
When you get to the top, have your daily meditation. Pray that God will keep you safe and lead your daily life.
Now, its "downhill" time: From the top of the hill to the parking lot is 5-7 minutes (including jumps). You can go slower if you want to.
Complete ride is ~1.5 hours. My personal best was 1.35 (1 hour and 22 minutes) hours but i am pretty sure that there are other who could go faster because I just started less than a year ago and my bike is a 33 lb aluminum hardtail (i am a poor student).
and oh, be very wary with dirtbikes. I nearly crashed 3 times with some dirtbikes coming up on the Upper Jedi trail (its not too narrow but narrow enough). But i guess that's the risk with riding fast.

This trail is surprisingly getting a bit crowded on weekends and Wednesdays too.
